When will garbage cart swaps happen in July?
Residents west of NW 86th Street: If you live west of NW 86th Street and have not received a new cart, please place your old garbage cart at the curb from July 6 through the evening of July 8. If you have already received a new cart, please pull your cart in after your garbage has been picked up.
Residents east of NW 86th Street: If you live east of NW 86th Street and have not received a new cart, please place your old garbage cart at the curb from July 7 through the evening of July 8. If you have already received a new cart, please pull your cart in after your garbage has been picked up.
If they don’t swap out my cart during the week of July 6, what do I do?
If your garbage cart is not swapped out, please place it at the curb again the following week and follow the same procedure as listed above.
How late should I leave my garbage cart at the curb?
We would ask that you leave your cart at the curb until at least 9:00 p.m. If your cart has not been swapped out, please bring it in on Wednesday evening and wait until the following week – on your regular garbage collection day.
Will my cart be swapped out if I have garbage in it?
No, in order for your garbage cart to be swapped out, it needs to be empty unless it is your collection day.
What do I do if my neighbors’ carts have all been swapped out, but mine hasn’t?

Do I continue using the old cart until I receive a new one?
Yes, please continue using your old cart if you haven’t received a new one. You will always have a garbage cart – new or old to use.
Are yard waste and recycling carts changing?
No, the only carts being swapped are the garbage carts.
