Now through October, head over to Terra Park (behind Iowa Public Television on Pioneer Parkway) and get free mulch! On Fridays between 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., the Parks Department will load the free mulch into the back of your pick-up truck or trailer, but you must make an appointment. To make an appointment call 515.727.8091.
If you do not need assistance getting mulch, you can help yourself during normal park hours. The park is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
