[ARCHIVED] MEMBERS OF JGMFD TO CLIMB IN HONOR OF SERGEANT MARTIN

On Sunday, March 29, members of the Johnston-Grimes Metropolitan Fire Department will climb in full gear to raise funds for the Fight for Air Climb. They are climbing in memory of Johnston Police Sergeant Martin who passed away from lung cancer in 2015.

Climbing in full gear will add an extra 70 pounds to each member. When you can’t breathe, nothing else matters. Funds raised by the JGMFD will provide patient education and support important research and advocacy efforts for everyone living with lung disease including COPD, lung cancer and asthma. Their team goal is $3,000 – let’s help them reach it.
