The City of Johnston is proud to announce Scott Chiri, an 11-year employee of the Public Works Department has been promoted to Public Works Superintendent.
“Our department is excited to have Scott Chiri move into a leadership role,” said Public Works Director Matt Greiner. “Scott has been a well-respected employee that provides quality work on every project he touches. He has been involved in many aspects of Public Works, especially streets, which will allow him to transition into this position seamlessly. Scott is a valuable employee, and I look forward to working with him in his new role.”
As an 11-year employee, Chiri was involved in the City’s snow removal operations, maintenance of city streets, managing drainage and stormwater infrastructure. He looks forward to serving the City’s residents, so they can safely travel Johnston’s roadways while addressing concerns to improve their quality of life. Scott is a graduate of Upper Iowa University with a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration.
