[ARCHIVED] HOME HOSTS NEEDED IN JOHNSTON

Johnston

This summer, Iowa Sister States and the Johnston Police Department will be welcoming students from Kosovo as part of the Iowa-Kosovo Youth Exchange!

In 2017, students from Johnston High School sent students to an International Youth Camp in Kosovo called TOKA. Upon completion of the camp, the students spent time in Peja, Johnston’s sister city.

This year, four students from Peja will be traveling to Iowa to attend the 4-H state conference and attend a camp. After the camp, they spend time in Johnston, but host families are needed to ensure their stay is a success. Host families will be needed July 1-5. During the weekday, the students will be attending programs from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but during the evenings there may be an opportunity for the host family to attend evening events.

If you or someone you know is interested in hosting one of these students or have any questions, please contact Kassi at kassi.bailey@iowasisterstates.org.
