Kempton Bridge – Construction continues on the bridge located near NW 66th Avenue and NW Beaver Drive on the northside of Johnston. This is expected to be completed this fall. Reconstruction of the intersection of NW Beaver Drive and NW 66th Avenue is scheduled for completion mid-September, weather permitting.
NW Beaver Drive Overlay Project – The reclamation and overlay project of NW Beaver Drive will be from Merle Hay Road north to the city limits. This project is expected to begin September 5 with a scheduled completion date on phase one and two (north city limits -south of Teresa Drive) by mid-October 2017. Phase three of the project will begin
in the spring of 2018. Project activities include new pavement and widening to provide shoulders, drainage improvements and utility adjustments, and a curb protected bike trail.
East of Merle Hay Road Neighborhood Improvements – Paving has begun on portions of NW 57th Avenue to allow the contractor to better manage and provide access during future phases. Storm sewer and sanitary sewer continues to be installed on NW 54th Court and west of NW 54th Court.
NW 100th St. & NW 70th Ave – Contractors will be completing clean-up items and will be over-seeding and applying weed control this fall.
