[ARCHIVED] NEW PARK SIGNS WILL SOON BE INSTALLED

New Park Signs_250x210

Johnston Parks & Recreation is working on installing new signs at 11 of the City parks. The configuration was designed to allow the parks to be easily distinguished while creating uniformity throughout the community. The signs are made from a composite material that should resist fading. The trees throughout our community inspired the design. Each of the signs also has an address for emergencies and location.

The signs are currently in the process of being fabricated. You will begin to see footings being poured this week.

While the parks' signs will be the same design, the one at Terra Park will be larger as this is the largest park within the community. This sign will have limestone features and be backlit at night. The limestone will tie the limestone look you see featured throughout the park into the welcome sign as visitors enter. There will also be an information kiosk and wayfinding signs that will be placed within Terra Park.
