[ARCHIVED] JOHNSTON'S PRIMARY ELECTION RESULTS AND SPECIAL ELECTION

Officially, these are the results from the Polk County Election Office on the primary election that took place on Tuesday, May 25.

  • Brei Johnson - 311  (17.82%)
  • Jim Gorsche - 350  (20.06%)
  • Bryan Burkhardt - 682 (39.08%)
  • Adam Haar - 402  (23.04%)
  • WRITE-IN - 0 (0.00%)

The special election, which will determine who fills the vacant seat, is Tuesday, June 22, 2021. The appointment will become effective after the Polk County Election Office has certified the election and the oath is taken by the newly elected person following the special election on June 22.

The polling places will be open on Election Day, Tuesday, June 22, 2021, from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Voting Locations for all eligible residents of the City of Johnston:

  • Johnston City Hall, 6221 Merle Hay Road
  • Crown Point Community Center, 6300 Pioneer Parkway
  • Stoney Creek Hotel/Conference Center, 5291 Stoney Creek Court
  • Johnston Public Library, 6700 Merle Hay Road
