The City of Johnston offers paperless billing to our utility customers. eBills are a convenient, secure, faster and environmentally friendly way of receiving your utility bill. It will not only reduce waste, but it will reduce postage costs too.
eBills contain the same information you are used to receiving on your paper bills. You will get an email notification each month when your new bill is available. You can view it online and pay online through the online portal on the City’s website, or through one of the methods listed below.
To enroll in eBill, fill out an eBill application (PDF) and return the completed form to City Hall or email it to Marci Santi. Enrolling in eBill will cancel your paper bill and you will only receive the eBill. If your application is received at least one week prior to your next billing date, your bill will be emailed.
Whether enrolled in eBills or traditional methods, the following payment options still apply:
In-person at City Hall on normal business days between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. with cash or check.
An accessible dropbox is located on the east side of Johnston City Hall, which is accessible 24/7.
At the pay station at the Johnston Hy-Vee by cash or check.
By credit card through the online portal on the city’s website.
