The Johnston-Grimes Metropolitan Fire Department provides public education to the community through a number of activities. The Fire Department places a focus on reaching the children of the community through programs delivered at the local schools. Public Education is also accomplished by attending community events to provide information and demonstrations of Fire Department capabilities.
In 2020, JGMFD received a grant from the State Fire Marshal's Office for a digital fire extinguisher training prop. Our staff has utilized this important tool to provide fire extinguisher training to many of our citizens and businesses in the district.
