Johnston Commons Playground

The Johnston Parks Committee and City Council understand the importance of diversifying the parks within our community. In 2021, playground equipment and a full basketball court will be added to Johnston Commons (the green space near the Johnston Public Library).

The design was chosen from a group of residents near the park as well as representatives from the Lions Club, City Council, Park Board, and the Library.

The City invites the public for input before finalizing the design. The initial development will include a large playground, shelter with a restroom and a basketball court.
