Johnston Fire
A team of four firefighters staff the fire station from 6:00 am till 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. All other hours are covered by paid-on-call staff, including a sleep-in program which keeps three firefighters at the station from 10:00 pm until 6:00 am, M - F and 6:00 pm until 6:00 am on Saturdays & Sundays. of unincorporated Polk County. Our response area covers approximately
fifteen (15) square miles, with a population estimated at more than 13,000 people.
