Neighborhood Improvement Grants

Neighborhood Improvement Grants provide matching City funds for residents to make permanent physical improvements to either public or private property. This means for every dollar residents provide, the City will match them, up to $2,000.

The projects improve the appearance to neighborhoods and positively affect a significant number of residents. This includes projects that enhance the safety of a neighborhood, improve housing, support the environment, or encourage social interaction among residents.

Since 2003, the City has contributed just under $20,000 resulting in improvements totaling more than $60,000.  A summary of awarded projects is available here.

For more information about this program, contact Deb Schiel-Larson in the Community Development Department at 727-7763 or by email.
