Chocolate & a movie--Where do I sign up?
Come to the Library on February 13th for a 2:00pm showing of Chocolat with Johnny Depp and Juliette Binoche. Mid-movie we'll have a cooking class intermission with Lois White, food editor for Better Homes and Gardens and Hy-Vee Seasons Magazine. Lois will show everyone how to make hot cocoa brownie cake in a mug. We'll even bake it at the program and you can eat your delectable dessert while you finish watching the movie! Please RSVP for this free event here

Let's Talk: English Language Learner Conversation Group
Are you interested in improving your English? We want to help. JPL will host a monthly conversation group from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on the third Thursday of every month. Let's Talk will pair a community volunteer with an English Language Learner to practice conversation skills in English. Discussion prompts will be provided to assist with the learning experience. Johnston Public Library is currently seeking individuals interested in practicing their English, as well as friendly volunteers. Volunteers do not need previous experience. Please contact Sarah Lane at  for more information.
