The Johnston Grimes Metropolitan Fire Department is pleased to announce Brynne Burrough was selected as Deputy Fire Chief. Before serving the City of Johnston, Burrough served as Regional Fire Chief with the Marine Corps, where he commanded the largest regional fire protection organization in the Asian Pacific Administration. “Burrough brings strong leadership skills and great knowledge of fire and emergency services,” said Fire Chief Jim Clark. “His extensive knowledge in public policy and strategic planning was key in our selection process. “It’s a privilege and an honor to be the Deputy Fire Chief for the City’s of Johnston and Grimes," said Burrough. "As a member of this leadership team, I want to continue to build upon the strong service we offer to our residents. I look forward to working with the Mayor and Council and will continue to build upon the strong community relationships that have already been built.”

Deputy Fire Chief’s first day is Monday, Nov. 30, 2020.
