Join Quarry Springs Outfitters for an evening of fun on the water at Terra Lake Park! This free event will take place on Thursday, June 11, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. near the large shelter.
Families will have the opportunity to get out on the calm water for 30 minutes to experience what kayaking is all about. Kayaking is great exercise, allows you to be closer to nature, and is a fun activity to do with the whole family.
Sixteen single and two tandem kayaks will be available for use on June 11. Kids can enjoy the experience, but a parent/guardian must be present.
Each participant will need to sign a waiver before getting on the water. Life jackets and paddles are provided. The Johnston-Grimes Metropolitan Fire Department will be present for the kids to check out the fire equipment.
