[ARCHIVED] OPTIONS TO PAY YOUR UTILITY BILL

dropbox inside city hall to pay utility bill

Each month, Johnston residents receive a utility bill that contains billing for water, sewer, garbage, recycling, and a stormwater fee. As a resident, you can pay your bill by mailing a check, dropping off payment at City Hall in the dropbox right inside the front door, online via credit card pay-by-phone (833-259-4019), or signing up for automatic withdrawals (ACH).

eBills are a convenient, secure, faster and environmentally friendly way of receiving your utility bill. It will not only reduce waste, but it will reduce postage costs too. They contain the same information you are used to receiving on your paper bills. Each month, you will get an email notification when your new bill is available, and you can view and pay it through the online portal on the City’s website or by any of the other methods mentioned above.

To enroll in eBill, fill out an eBill application and return the completed form to City Hall or email it to Marci Santi. Enrolling in eBill will cancel your paper bill, and you will only receive the eBill.

The City also offers automatic payment withdrawal (ACH) as mentioned above. The amount due will be deducted from your bank account on the 15th of each month. If this date falls on a holiday or weekend, the amount would be deducted the next business day. To sign up to have your payment automatically withdrawn from your bank account, fill out this application.
