Join community members and tour the Camp Dodge Joint Maneuver Training Center (CDJMTC). The community open house runs from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, and will provide the public a rare opportunity to see inside its unique training facilities and ranges as well as tour historic structures and the Iowa Gold Star Military Museum. Bus tours leave from the Camp Dodge Pool Pavilion every 15 minutes starting at 11:15 a.m.

CDJMTC was originally established in 1909 and today consists of nearly 5,000 acres of maneuver and cantonment areas, training facilities, ranges, and the one of a kind Sustainment Training Center (STC). More than 2,200 Citizen-Soldiers attend their monthly drills at CDJMTC and nearly a half-million service members and civilians come through its gates on an annual basis making it the third busiest National Guard training location in the country.

More than 700 full-time employees work at CDJMTC including full-time military members, federal civil service, state and contract workers. In addition to serving as the headquarters for the Iowa National Guard, the base also provides space for the Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs, the Iowa Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy and the Iowa Gold Star Military Museum.
