The Mayor's Run for the Trails 5K + Kids Fun Run will be held Saturday, August 24 at Terra Park, located at 6300 Pioneer Parkway. To ensure runners have an accurate timing, we will have chip timing through True Time Racing Services. Register by visiting www.cityofjohnston.com/Mayors5KRun.
Registration fee includes a short-sleeve (performance blend) shirt, post-race refreshments, and raffles prizes. If you register after August 9, your shirt size is not guaranteed. We will do our best to increase shirt sizes on quantities before the order is placed to accommodate runners.
Packet pick up and late registration will be held on Friday, August 23 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Heartland Soles, 5525 Merle Hay Rd., in Johnston or on race morning from 6:30-7:30 a.m. Race-day registration is available for $40, but the t-shirt size is not guaranteed.
1,000-meter fun run around the lake will begin at 8:00 am. The 5K run/walk will begin at 8:15 a.m. and is chip timed. The 1,000-meter fun run participants will receive medals once they cross the finish line. Awards will follow immediately after the run.
