The City of Johnston has a rich history and this year we are celebrating 50 years as a city. Join city leaders and the Johnston Historical Society as they open the time capsule on Sunday, March 10 at 1:00 p.m. The time capsule was created during Johnston’s 25th anniversary in 1994. What is in the time capsule? We will soon find out. The event will be held at the Simpson Barn, located at 6169 Northglenn Drive (just west of the Johnston Public Library).
Other activities include recognizing the founding members of the Historical Society, tours of the 1902 Simpson House Museum and unveiling the banner displays that have been created to tell the history of Johnston. Refreshments will be served.
