[ARCHIVED] CELEBRATE COMPOST AWARENESS WEEK

Compost Awareness Week

With the cold weather on its way out, it’s time to get your garden and lawn in shape! Early spring is the perfect time to apply compost to help your plants get the nutrients and moisture they need.

Using compost is simple, cost-effective and natural. Only $10 for a cubic yard in bulk or $4 for two cubic feet per bag, find a location to purchase at www.mwatoday.com/buycompost.

To celebrate International Compost Awareness Week, Metro Waste Authority is planning lots of fun events you can participate in. One of the events is right here in Johnston On Thursday, May 10, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Terra Park. Metro Waste Authority will give a presentation about the life-cycle of your yard waste.
