[ARCHIVED] FIRE STATIONS SERVE AS DROP-OFF LOCATIONS FOR TOYS FOR TOTS

The Johnston-Grimes firefighters are collecting new and unwrapped toys for those less fortunate this holiday season. The toys will be donated to the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program! Help the firefighters spread holiday cheer this season.

The drop-off locations include:

  • Fire Station 37: 200 S. James Street, Grimes (Drop-off is available when staff is at the station.) 
  • Fire Station 38: 10225 NW 62nd Avenue, Johnston (Drop-off is available when staff is at the station.)
  • Fire Station 39: 6373 Merle Hay Road, Johnston (Drop-off is available 24/7)

What kinds of toys are accepted at Toys for Tots?

  • New
  • Un-wrapped
  • Preferably around the $10 or above price range
  • Books (Each child receives two toys and three books, which count as one gift!)
  • Homemade toys

The deadline to drop-off toys is Monday, December 12, at 6:00 p.m.
