The Johnston Police Department is showing support for breast cancer research and treatment by selling special pink patches to raise money for a local resident battling breast cancer.

Members of the community have an opportunity to purchase one of the pink patches for $10. Visit the Johnston Police Department at 6373 Merle Hay Rd., between 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., to make a purchase. Cash or check are acceptable forms of payment. Checks can be made payable to the Johnston Police Officers Association. Patches can also be purchased
online by donating $10 and adding a "pink patch project" in the comment section. Email a copy of your receipt to Officer Holtry, or stop in at the Johnston Police Department and we will give you a patch. Patches that are paid for online can also be mailed upon providing the receipt and mailing address t to Officer Holtry.

Members of the Johnston Police Department may also be wearing the vibrant pink patches on their uniforms in October as part of the Pink Patch Project. The purpose is to stimulate conversation about breast cancer and the importance of early detection and treatment.

Help the Johnston Police Department impact the research by purchasing a pink patch to proudly display. For more information about the Pink Patch Project, visit the Pink Patch Project website.
