Admin Professionals Day (250 x 210 px)

National Administrative Professionals’ Day recognizes the professionals who keep an office running smoothly every day. The City of Johnston recognizes the admin professionals at City Hall, Crown Point, Parks, Public Works, and the Public Safety Building. Administrative professionals are flexible and can handle unexpected situations, making them valuable assets. They are central to an office or business running efficiently.

Below are the individuals the City of Johnston is recognizing.
Noemi Saenz is the administrative assistant/city clerk at City Hall. She has been in her role for less than a year, but she is a quick learner and enjoys interacting with the residents. Her favorite thing is working with City staff and Johnston residents. When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Saenz said, “It’s been refreshing working with a considerate team in all they do. I have witnessed firsthand just how dedicated every employee is; that is inspiring!”
Shelia Kissanga is the administrative assistant for the Community Development Department. While she has been in her position for just a few months, the energy she brings each day is contagious. She enjoys meeting and interacting with people from all walks of life.
Debbie Smith is the administrative assistant for the Public Safety division. She has been in her position for 13 years. She enjoys working with the staff at the police department because they are men and women who are committed to their job and this community. Seeing them interact with residents certainly tugs at the heartstrings at times.

Kayla Lester is the administrative assistant for the Public Safety division. She has been in her position for one year, but truly enjoys her coworkers. Interacting with them makes her day brighter. Her cheerful smile certainly leaves a lasting impact on those she interacts with daily.
Lori Mason is the administrative assistant with the Public Works Department. She has proudly served in her position for the last 20 years. Every day is different in her job and that is what she enjoys the most. She truly enjoys working with the great staff in the streets, water and wastewater divisions.

Brenda Smith is the administrative assistant for the Parks and Recreation Department. She has been serving the Johnston residents for 16 years, but will be retiring at the end of May. While working with those in the Parks Department, she also enjoys renting out the Simpson Barn for special events, like weddings. She truly enjoys greeting the renters and seeing the event come together.

Please congratulate each of these members and thank them for their service to the Johnston community. Each one of them is certainly an integral part of ensuring our city runs smoothly.
