Nationally, October is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Firefighters across the nation have supported this cause for many years, including the Johnston-Grimes firefighters.

Your Johnston-Grimes Local 4835 firefighters are taking pre-sale orders for the October Breast Cancer t-shirt fundraiser! The order deadline is Monday, Aug. 23, 2021.

Every year, the funds raised are given to a local Grimes or Johnston resident who has survived or is currently battling breast cancer and used for whatever they see fit, whether groceries, bills, or even a family vacation.

To order, please email Firefighter/Paramedic Tyler Hardenbrook at thmedic12@gmail.com. Please include your name, shirt size, quantity, phone number and preferred payment method of cash, check, Venmo, or Paypal (local4835@gmail.com).

The shirts are unisex
Short sleeve t-shirts: $20
 Long sleeve t-shirts: $25

If you know someone you think would be a good candidate to receive this year's donation, please send Tyler a direct message!
