Council Member - Matt Brown

Matt Brown has been a member of the Johnston City Council since 2012. 

Matt has over 23 years of comprehensive built environment experience with projects of all sizes, which includes project experience spanning five states, including California, Louisiana, Maryland, Wisconsin and Iowa. Most notable is his leadership in the development and operation of the Wellmark Headquarters, which earned a USGBC LEED platinum rating and achieved Energy Star certification in 2014. Matt was part of the team that led to the successful completion of Johnston's Public Safety Building in 2014.

President of Formation Group, Inc. and consults property owners regarding facility-related matters including project justification, planning, budgeting, incentive negotiation, site feasibility, building programming, building design, construction project management, move coordination and physical building operations.
