NW Beaver Drive Overlay

Project Description
NW Beaver Drive – Merle Hay Rd. to North Corporate Limits
HMA (Asphalt) mill and overlay project along NW Beaver Drive from Merle Hay Road to the North Corporate Limits (approximately 3.25 miles). Project will include median/splitter island in locations along with recreational trail.

Project Update (as of 6/4/18)
A variety of utility conflicts have arisen and are impeding progress of this project including utilities on poles that have not been removed or relocated. A gas line has also been encountered that is in conflict with major storm water structures and will need to be relocated, and there is a unknown conduit conflicting with another storm water structure. Several utility companies have been contacted, but have not been able to claim ownership. Unfortunately, it is not as simple as asking the contractor to cut the line so the project can move forward. We are working through all avenues available to us to move these issues along quickly and we expect this to be resolved mid-June.

Once the utility conflicts are resolved, the contractor will install the stormwater improvements, grade and pave the trail and place the final layer of asphalt across the entire project.

Your patience and inquiries are appreciated. You will continue to be informed as timelines change. Please be patient and exercise caution when driving through the site.
